Glittery Tree

To make this card, I used some light blue cardstock and embossed it with a snowflake embossing folder.  I cut a triangle out of some scrap white cardstock and positioned some paper doilies on it, cut off the extra and attached it to my card.  Using some rick rack in white I made the trunk, gathered some white ribbon for the top and finished the card off with some tiny pearls and stickles.

Winter Trees

For this card I used bazzill cardstock in dark brown, tan and white.  For the image its a Stampin Up stamp that I inked up in Forest Moss Distress Inks, staggered the image and colored in the trunk using colored pencils.  To create the snow, I just dabbed on dots of glue and then smeared it at the bottom to create the ground.  A Piece of ribbon, couple buttons and some twine finished it off.

Shaker Card

My apologizes for the lateness of this card.  I spent all day in the hospital with my grandfather.
When I think of Christmas morning, left over gift wrap, ribbons, and snow covered lawns are what comes to mind.  So to make this I took some left over Christmas card stock, some left over ribbons, and a few snow flakes.  The perfect Christmas morning interpretation if you ask me.

The stockings were hung

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.  The stockings were hung by the chimney with care.
It is a family tradition that we read this story on Christmas Eve with the kids, but since my husband works in the medical field, we will be reading this tonight and I thought the card was perfect.
Kraft cardstock, some decorative paper, ribbon that has been turned into a tassel and a button was all it took.  Merry Christmas to you all!!

Vintage Santa

I love the vintage feel that this card has, a little bit of crochet trim, a golden brown sparkle and this card is complete.

Christmas Package

I just went to the post office the other day to mail out my cards, so I was inspired to create a card that represented that.  I love the nostalgic feel this card has and how simple it was to make.

Poinsettia Note

As I prepare to head out to our local post office, I wanted to send my followers a Christmas card.  This was created using the topnote die, some stampin up stamps, distress inks and a cute little bow to finish it off.  Merry Christmas to you all!

Angel Pose

This card has many layers.  Card base is dark brown cardstock, tan layers, music sheet, white distressed layer and an angel sticker.  Some pearls add the finishing touch to this.

Angels we have heard....

To make this card I used colored pencils to color the Christmas Angel then scissors to cut it out.  I stamped snowflakes in clear and embossed, I also stamped some vintage lace along the sides, added some distress inks to the background and distressed the edges.  When it came time for ribbon, I used some lace and pulled out my sew easy ribbon tool to add the brown velvet ribbon.  A bit of stickles helped to create the stars.

Grinch Greetings

As we creep closer to Christmas and all the "classic" cartoons revisit.  I'm inspired to create a card that reminds me of Mr. Grinch.  The background paper reminds me of whoville and their spunky attitude along with the color of Mr. Grinch himself.  The tree of course would have to be bare, because you know Mr. Grinch and decorating.  The season's greeting reminded me of the poor little dog of his as well as the ribbons.

Santas Suit

So here is my Santa card.  To make this card, I used a red cardstock base, die cut the white using the top note from stampin up, cut a small piece of black as a strip, and using two spellbinders made the buckle that I just colored with a silver pen.
Speaking of Santa, my new paper trimmer from Purple Cows finally arrived at my doorstep!  I was in need of a new one and wanted to upgrade to a larger one so I did my research and settled on this one. Purchased it from Amazon for 19.95!!   I can take the rotary side apart and use it when traveling, that side also has 7 different blades that I can switch out!  The rotary part has a paper locking system to make sure you get an even cut, and the guilliotine side never needs sharpening, it too also has a part that you push down while cutting so your paper is straight!  There are a ton of already marked areas on the large base for you to line your paper up with, just have to get use to the new design and measurement placements and I will be set to go!

Poinsettia Script

I needed a simple card to create today due to the fact that it was tree trimming time.  Stamped the image, colored it in, rolled the edges of the paper to give it a scroll look and added a bow.  Now I'm ready to decorate our Christmas tree!

Elegant Christmas

After all that coloring on the Twas the Night Before Christmas card, I needed a quick and easy one.  So here it is!  I used a spellbinder for the greeting, and a flower stamp that I stamped in white and embossed it with white embossing powder, filled in the areas with a white colored pencil to give it just a bit more color and added a red ribbon and rhinestone to finish it off.  This card took maybe 10 minutes to complete!

Twas the Night Before Christmas

I love this time of season, everyone seems to be more considerate and thoughtful.  I'm reminded of yesterdays and am big on traditions.  We always read "Twas the Night before Christmas" every Christmas Eve as a family.  This card reminded me of that story.  I stamped the image once on the card and again on some scrap.  Cut out the window section on the scrap and layered an embossed clear acetate behind it.  Colored in the scene with colored pencils and puffed up the window to give it a bit more depth.

Dasher

This time of season, I'm drawn to sheet music.  There is something timeless about it.  For this card, I layered some sheet music onto kraft card stock, added a stamped reindeer, puffed up some liquid applique and finished with a bright red ribbon.

Paper Bag Album

Yes I know I still have not mastered the world of video, but after two days I did manage to get it to load! LOL I'm apologizing in advance, the video is out of focus some times and for some reason my voice sounds like a chipmunks!   I promise one of these days I will figure it out, but for now all I can hope for is to make you laugh at my expense and inspire you to grab a few bags and create.

Seasons Greetings

I recently purchased the sew easy ribbon weavers and had yet to use them!  So here it is.  I love that this card has lots of dimension.  The "ornament" is from an old book and the velvet ribbon was easy to weave with the sew easy ribbon tool.  A touch of gold along the edges helps to complete this card.

Poinsettia Sticker Card

Sorry for the late post, I've been trying all day to load a video for you, but needless to say it is still trying to load!  LOL  What can I say computers and I don't get along!  So here is Plan B:  My Mother in Law gave me these poinsettia stickers and I thought now what am I going to do with these?  Well I made a collage out of them and ran the paper through an embossing folder and guess what I love the results.  It looks like fabric!  To complete the card I took some left over vellum stamped a saying on it and finished the bottom with some red velvet ribbon.  So fellow crafters, grab some of those stickers and start creating with them.

Christmas Countdown

The Black Friday commercials are beginning which means its time to start the countdown to Christmas!  For this cute card, I embossed the front with a Christmas folder, added some velet ribbon to the top, and used a Tim Holtz Fragment with some attached decorative paper to the front.  There you have it quick and simple!  Now if Christmas shopping was that easy!! :)

Believe

Not everyone likes the traditional red and green when it comes to Christmas, so to please them I made a light blue, white and silver santa card.  The base of the card is white, the next layer is blue and I embossed some vellum and added the white lace stickles to give it a "snow" look.  Some decorative blue snowflake paper, a bit of silver accent around the santa and believe statement and some white yarn finish the card.
